You should also check the fins of the used board you plan on purchasing. Check if there are any cracks especially around the base if they are glassed on. You have to remember that cracks on the fins are expensive repairs. If the fins are removable, you should check the boxes for cracks, water seepage and stripped shrub screws. You have to remember that fin boxes are also very expensive to replace and getting one with one of the mentioned damages means spending a lot of money for repairs.
A little wear and tear is natural and is really not a big deal if timely repairs were done as it will prevent extensive damages. You also need to remember that used surfboards looses its flex characteristics. However, this feature will not really mean any difference and if there is, it will only be a minor one.

Surfboards can really be expensive. However, you will see that used surfboards are readily available and you can purchase these boards at your local surf shop or even in the internet in auction websites, such as eBay. The great thing about buying used surfboards is that it will be able to save you hundreds of dollars compared to buying a brand new one. However, you need to remember that if you buy a surfboard that is "too used", then it may not be worth the huge savings you will get for getting it as opposed to getting a new one.
Whenever you buy a used surfboard, always remember that there are rules that you should follow in order for you to really get your money's worth. Always scour every inch of the surfboard you plan on purchasing before you actually purchase it. You have to remember that any dings in the surfboard should have been repaired. You should also feel all over the surfboard especially over the spot where the dings were repaired. What you are looking for would be soft spots.
Soft spots will mean that the foam inside have rotted from water seeping in. This is not a good thing and you are better off with another board. Also, you need to look for the amount of ding repairs. If the board has a lot of it and even if the repair job was done quite well, the amount of dings can mean that the board is too lightly glassed, which is also not cool.
If you see an obvious repair running the length of the board, this will mean that the board was probably cracked in half, which is also not a cool thing. Although some boards like this will still ride quite well, you may want to remember that it will never be the same as it was when it was still whole or wasn’t cracked in half.

Abuso institucional sobre los menores en el Estado Español

Este informe puede servir para proteger a los menores de ser interrogados en solitario en procedimientos de Jurisdicción Voluntaria por desescolarización.
En el informe denominado “Infancia y justicia: una cuestión de derechos“, a partir de la página 55, se analiza la situación de los menores ante la justicia española.
Copio toda la noticia que publica hoy 10 de diciembre Servimedia:
‘Save the Children asegura que la justicia española no garantiza los derechos de los niños.
La Administración de Justicia en España no está adaptada a las necesidades de los niños y no garantiza adecuadamente sus derechos.
Esta es la contundente conclusión del informe ‘Infancia y justicia: una cuestión de derechos’, presentado este lunes por la organización Save the Children y donde, a la luz de las normas internacionales de derechos humanos y de los estándares internacionales en materia de justicia e infancia, denuncia que la justicia española suspende el examen sobre el respeto y garantía de los derechos de los niños.
Según explicó en rueda de prensa Yolanda Román, responsable de Incidencia Política de Save the Children, “la justicia española no trata bien a los niños”, una cuestión de la que se hace eco el estudio realizado por la organización, que pone de relieve la falta de medios legales, humanos y materiales para garantizar los derechos de los menores.
Román añadió que la justicia española no está adaptada a los niños, no garantiza su derecho a ser escuchados y, si se les escucha, no se hace adecuadamente.
El informe desvela que el contacto de los menores con la justicia resulta traumático, doloroso y ridiculizador, produciéndose “violencia institucional” contra ellos, debido en gran parte al desconocimiento de sus derechos por parte de los operadores jurídicos.
Esta situación también obedece, según el estudio, a la falta de recursos especializados y adecuados para dar respuesta a situaciones judiciales en las que intervienen niños, ya sea en condición de víctimas o testigos de un delito, como infractores de la ley, en casos de crisis matrimoniales o de desamparo o con respecto a las leyes de extranjería, entre otras circunstancias.
Tal y como insistió la responsable de Incidencia Política de la organización, en ocasiones se somete a los menores a interrogatorios, declaraciones o exploraciones repetidas e inadecuadas que les exponen a una dolorosa revictimización.
“Los niños no siempre son tratados de acuerdo a su edad o estado madurativo, lo que puede generar en ellos confusión, temor o incluso culpabilidad. El derecho de los niños a ser debidamente escuchados durante los procedimientos, tanto judiciales como administrativos, y en los procesos en los que participan no se garantiza suficientemente y en muchos casos no se respeta”, alerta el informe.
Save the Children considera urgente adecuar físicamente los espacios en los juzgados donde deben realizarse las entrevistas y donde deben esperar los niños, así como disponer del material técnico y audiovisual que permita llevar a cabo la participación del menor en los procesos sin tener que ver a su agresor ni prestar declaración en una sala llena de adultos desconocidos.
También ve igualmente necesario reforzar el número de fiscales especializados, jueces y personal técnico y garantizar su formación específica en derechos de infancia. “En el contexto económico y político actual en España no resulta atractivo pedir una mayor inversión en justicia, pero es urgente hacerlo”, señaló Román’.
